this is a basic recipe for mouthwatering oven cooked ribs finished on a stove top or outdoor grill. No Need for a smoker here. this a quick down and dirty fast track version of the classic.

Ingredients

St Louis Style Ribs
  • One Rack St. Louis Style Ribs, be sure to remove the backside membrane that runs along the bones.
  • Generous amount of salt and pepper, more to less to your taste
  • 1 tsp liquids smoke
  • Let marinate at 2 hours to overnight

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 475. Roast ribs bone side up for 30min., then reduce heat to 300.
  2. Continue to roast at 300 for 1hr.
  3. Transfer to a Dutch oven, Coat with BBQ sauce and 2 water.
  4. Cover and put back in the oven roast additional 45 hr.
  5. Remove from Dutch oven, finish by searing for color on your outside grill or stove top grill pan.
  6. Baste with additional BBQ sauce and serve
